International Space Station

A slow week. But a couple of cool photos to share.

A fantastic shot of the space shuttle docking with the International Space Station sillouetted against the sun. Very clever.

And this is what it was fitting. A nice new huge set of solar pannals. Its getting big now.

I have seen that movie. I enjoyed it a lot. It had a very good ending with Tommy Lee Jones.

Hmm. When I saw that second picture, I felt like Bungy Jumping off the platform. Of course, it wouldn't quite have the same effect up there in space :D (unless I used a super powered jet pack).

Actually you can skydive from the top of the atmosphere. The US airforce did it in the 50's. They released the footage of it.

It took about 30 mins freefall. The first 5 minutes the sktdiver said you couldnt tell you were falling. Becuase there is virtually no air, there was no sensation of the air roaring past or his clothes moving. Then he hit the atmosphere!!

It is still the coolest thing I have ever seen, lol.
